No, I'm still alive and kicking and have not deserted my blog. However, its been frustrating trying to get people to allow me to take their pics that I'm all but given up! Nonetheless, after reading my favorite site The Sartorialist, I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one facing these problems. He's right, I hate messing with people and pleading with them to have their picture taken. It would be great if people were less inhibited. Even if its enough to appreciate your own brand of personal style, it would be great if someone else appreciated it as well wouldn't it?
Oh well, I have to admit I missed plenty of picture-worthy moments, but I'll continue to keep those fashionistic sparks coming. But then again, being the non-fashion photographer that I am, I tend to forget my camera ever so often when I'm out, and taking pics on my mobile just doesn't yield quite the same effects (not that my camera is doing any better, which again gives me the urge to get a better one...Canon perhaps?). Okay, I admit it, the load of an additional camera in my handbag can be slightly off-putting as well. I know, I'm being such a diva about it.
So I won't and I'll pretend its fine to be rejected by these fashionistas that are "just simply too shy". For the sake of my passion (such sacrifice you know!), I'll bravely 'shoulder' on (pun intended).

first thoughts
I view fashion wear as an expression of self, a physical visualization of art. Yet style is intangile and can sometimes be illusive, perfected by a chosen few. Nonetheless, there is hope for us all, as ever so often, we are able to reach that perfection, of which I find it a personal joy to watch and appreciate. Here on this blog, I present my best finds for all my like minded bloggers.
